That was a powerful statement from a young person. For those of us who don’t live our lives with the day to day concerns for our physical safety, it’s hard to judge. But please indulge me even though I may be Naive to the realities on the ground. One must look at a broad perspective that may not be obvious to a young person. Simon Peres pursued peace once they were strong enough to offer it. As Rosevelt said “Walk quietly and carry a big stick” this is the definition of meekness. Strength under control. All people everywhere that live in security have someone somewhere protecting them with a gun. Because the human capacity for evil is astounding. In that strength we must find a path to peace and forgiveness or she is right. We will lose hope.
Thank you Matt! All people, everywhere with guns eventually go to war. Those who live by the sword… This has been the way of humans. Perhaps the path to peace is finding security in something other than a gun. I can’t wait to do a podcast with you to discuss what that might look like.
Unfortunately the modern State of Israel has become a hotbed of polarizing opinions and controversy. Yet, when one considers how ‘all the promises of God’ (including those to Old Testament Israel) find their “Yes” and “Amen” in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:20), a much broader conversation as to what, if any, promises apply to Israel today emerges.
It is most unfortunate how the kingdom that Jesus died to establish (Daniel 2:44) is overlooked, and is referred to as a mere ‘stop-gap measure’ rather than being correctly understood as the fulfillment of the ages (see 1 Corinthians 10:1-11 and elsewhere).
Thanks for another wonderful article. Where else could anybody get that type of info in such an ideal way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.
Hi, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your website in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, fantastic blog!
Thank you for another informative blog. Where else could I get that kind of info written in such a perfect way? I’ve a project that I’m just now working on, and I’ve been on the look out for such info.
This blog is definitely rather handy since I’m at the moment creating an internet floral website – although I am only starting out therefore it’s really fairly small, nothing like this site. Can link to a few of the posts here as they are quite. Thanks much. Zoey Olsen
of course like your web site but you have to test the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to inform the reality however I will definitely come again again.
